Lifestyle diseases are ailments that are primarily based on the day to day habits of people.Habits that detract people from activity and push them towards a sedentary routine can cause a number of health issues that can lead to chronic non-communicable diseases that can have near life-threatening consequences.Lifestyle diseases share risk factors similar to prolonged exposure to three modifiable lifestyle behaviours, smoking, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity -and results in the development of chronic diseases, specifically heart diseases, stroke, diabetes,obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary.Non-communicable diseases (NCDS) include cardiovascular conditions(hypertension, stroke) diabetes and a range of cancers which are the top causes of deaths globally and locally.These diseases are considered as lifestyle related and is mostly the results of unhealthy habits.Other different types of lifestyle diseases are Heart diseases, obesity, type 2 diabetes, stroke, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), Asthma and osteoporosis.Four personal behaviours that can affect chronic diseases are:Lack of physical activity,poor nutrition, tobacco use,and excessive alcohol use.

Adults over 65 are more likely to encounter diseases related to aging,such as Alzheimer's diseases or more advanced chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart diseases.In 2021, health care and long -term care casts associated with Alzheimer's and other dementias were $355 billion,making them some of the costliest conditions to society.
To prevent chronic diseases one should:Eat healthy-eating healthy helps to prevent,delay,and manage heartbreak diseases, type 2 diabetes,and other chronic diseases.Get regular physical activity, Avoid drinking too much Alcohol,Get screaned ,and get enough sleep.All of the major causes of deaths such as cancer ,heart diseases, stroke,lung diseases and injury can be prevented by making healthy lifestyle choices.Avoid smoking and tobacco use-smoking and using tobacco are a very dangerous habits.Some of the practices ,and teach healthy habits are handling and prepare food safely.Food can carry germs,wash hands often, clean disinfect commonly used surfaces,cough and sneeze into a tissue or handkerchief,don't share personal items,Get vaccinated, Avoid touching wild animals,stay home when sick.
