Shakahola incident robs spiritual faith.
It is unfortunate for what happened at Shakahola. Losing more than one hundred people with unclear circumstances, really hurts. Believing of God should be based on directly on clarity, but not through mankind. No human being should be decieved that, if he or she fasts and prays, he/she will see Jesus.
Fasting is believing, is not on food denial states Bonivace oyunge. Although the shakahola massacre has shocked the whole world, there are still questions to be answered. What was the responsibility of local leaders? They have every mandate to check and make sure that their villages are in good progress and save. "Nyumba kumi" are designed to know what happens in the villages. But it is unfortunate that a hundred people can be buried without burial permit.
All these questions, should be answered by the authority. The incident has proven how the leaders are not fully working on their role as expected. But, this is the right time for them to show out . As the constitution allows people to worship, it does not prove people to be mistreated in the name of worshiping. Many families have been conned by people claiming to be pastors.
It is high time for the government to introduce regulations towards churches. Whoever tends to open any church must have credited qualifications. He or she must undergo thorough investigations before given license to operate. Also, the government should subject all church leaders to auditing . This will help the government to know how they acquired their wealth. Those who have conned followers should be brought to the book of law.
